What Is ShopLink? Creator Storefronts Built for Africa

One link in your bio. Real products from real brands. Commission paid to your bank account.

Your followers already ask you where you got your outfit, your skincare, your sneakers. Most of the time you send the answer for free.

ShopLink changes that. It is a shoppable storefront for creators, built by Aktivate for African creators and the brands that want to sell through them. You put one link in your bio. Your followers buy from your store. You earn a commission on every sale, paid into your bank account.

Creator commerce is big business. In the US and UK, platforms like ShopMy and LTK let creators earn when their followers shop. African creators were mostly left out:

  • The products on those platforms come from foreign retailers that often don't ship to Lagos, Nairobi or Accra.
  • Payouts go through PayPal or Stripe, which many African creators can't easily receive money through.
  • Commissions can sit as "pending" for months before they are paid.

Meanwhile, African brands and small businesses were paying creators flat fees for posts with no idea whether those posts sold anything.

Aktivate has worked with creators since the start. Our network now has more than 51,400 verified creators across Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and South Africa, and we have paid creators over $3 million. ShopLink takes that network and turns influence into sales that everyone can measure.

  1. Sign in at shop.useaktivate.com with your Aktivate account.
  2. Build your store. Your profile fills in from Aktivate. Pick products from brands in the catalogue, from fashion and beauty to lifestyle and everyday goods.
  3. Share your link. Your store lives at shop.useaktivate.com/@yourname. Put it in your Instagram or TikTok bio, your WhatsApp status, your YouTube description.
  4. Followers buy. They check out on your store with card, bank transfer or USSD through Paystack. The brand ships the order.
  5. You get paid. Your commission clears after a 7-day refund window and goes straight to your Nigerian bank account in the next daily payout.

Every product shows exactly what you earn before you add it, for example "you earn ₦1,800". No guessing.

ShopLink gives a business a sales team that only gets paid when it sells.

  1. List your products with price, photos and details.
  2. Set the commission for each product, anywhere from 5% to 50% of the price. For services like restaurants and hotels, you can set a fixed amount per sale instead.
  3. Choose who sells. Let any creator add your products, approve creators who apply, or invite creators you pick from the Aktivate network. You can also give a top creator a better rate.
  4. Fulfil orders from your dashboard and add tracking.
  5. Get paid automatically. Your share of each sale is split at checkout and settled to your bank account by Paystack.

Listing costs a one-time $15 per business. After that you only pay commission when something sells.

  • It's a real store, not a redirect. Shoppers buy on the creator's ShopLink page, so the sale is tracked from click to payment. There's no lost cookie and no "I bought it later on another site" problem.
  • Local payments, local payouts. Paystack checkout for shoppers and bank payouts for creators, in naira.
  • Fast pay. Creator commissions are paid about a week after the sale, not months.
  • Brands stay in control. Brands set the commission, approve who sells, and see sales by creator and by product.
  • Built for mobile data. Storefronts load fast on a phone and show proper link previews on WhatsApp and Instagram.
  • Creators of any size, including nano and micro creators with 1,000 to 50,000 followers, who already drive buying decisions.
  • Fashion, beauty, lifestyle and FMCG brands that want sales, not just impressions.
  • Small businesses that can't afford big influencer fees but can pay a commission on every sale.
